Our Search Process
Most nonprofits want to hire quality development staff as quickly as possible, with as little hassle as possible. We don't believe in making searches unnecessarily complicated or drawn out. Our three step process yields great candidates in a short amount of time, leaving our clients happy and satisfied with their new hires!
Discovery
Sage begins every engagement by learning all that we can about each client's culture, organizational priorities, and development needs. We collaborate with each client to gain consensus around the position requirements, job description, and search strategy. This ensures that everyone is on the same page and understands the process.
Recruiting & Screening
Using our extensive network of development professionals, we cast a wide net to promote the position and actively recruit qualified candidates who are the right mission and culture fit. From this pipeline, we carefully screen each candidate and identify the top tier to present to the client.
Supporting
During the search process, Sage develops close working relationships with both the client and each candidate. This is a critical step that allows us to provide effective counsel, from interviewing and assessment strategies, to salary negotiations, to onboarding.
